I hope you had a wonderful day! And hopefully we can get together sometime soon...it's been too long! And now, a little drabble-y thinger for you...


He watches her silently, unnoticed, as she studies the ancient text, deep in concentration. She’s come to Hogwarts for the week to utilize the library for research, and he is finding that despite his contempt for her years ago as a student, he may have to admit the young woman who now is visiting his office as a peer deserves his respect. She is poised, well-spoken, and has a wealth of knowledge and talent in potions – something he imagines he never let himself see when she was his pupil. Now, they have intelligent, thought-provoking discussions, and he is startled to find himself grow warm when her hand brushes his as she is reaching for a quill. He wonders if he’s imagined the slight blush that creeps across her cheeks as she sits back in her chair. Hidden in the shadows, watching her take meticulous notes, he really sees her for the first time and marvels at how similar to him she is in her studies. He resists the sudden urge to go and sit next to her, to brush that lock of hair from her face. Instead, he sweeps silently from the room, his robes billowing behind him, and goes back to his office in the dungeon to patiently await her next visit.
